Top 10 Tips For Your Wedding Morning

Top 10 Tips For Your Wedding Morning

1 - Make sure you're got a glamorous wedding morning outfit - we've got you covered there

You want your getting ready photos to be elegant and high quality - creased pyjamas just won't do for our brides - treat yourself and feel luxurious and get the best possibly photos before you've even stepped into your dress.

2 - Choose a bright space with plenty of room

Whether you're getting ready with a small group or a large bridal party and hair and makeup artists - space is key! There's a lot that goes into glamming a bridal party and you don't want to feel like you're all on top of each other. Being tidy and organised helps but space does make it easier. Having a bright space with natural light is also a big hit with your suppliers - it makes hair and makeup easier to do and your photo/video team will love you for it.

3 - Leave all of your getting ready bits out for your photo/video team

Shoes, jewellery, perfume, dress, veil, bag, garter and anything else that's special and part of your wedding look. If you pop these together the night before it'll save you or someone else scrambling around trying to find them in the morning as your photo and video team will most likely ask for them.

4 - Have a fabulous playlist at the ready

Work on that playlist in the months leading up to the wedding and pop all your favourite tunes on it. It's so great to have upbeat music to get you all in the party mood and who doesn't love a pre wedding sing along to create that high energy?!

5 - Make sure you've got food and water to keep you nourished and hydrated before the big day

It's very easy to let hours go past when you've not eaten or drank but we would recommend having a good high protein breakfast first thing to keep those blood sugars stable and then make sure you sip on water - of course along with your bubbles!

6 - Hang your dress and bridesmaid dresses with neutral hangers

It may seem like a small detail but every little detail matters if you want the most elegant photos.

7 - Cut the labels and steam dresses the night before

Believe us when we say your wedding morning will fly, one minute your alarm is going off and you can't contain your excitement and the next you're ready to hit the aisle. Take time the day before to cut out tags, steam items, change hangers and sort any little item that might eat into your wedding morning timeline.

8 - Allocate a role for all of your tribe

If you have a bridal party with you then you could allocate them all tasks to ensure everyone knows what they're doing, an example:

Bridesmaid 1 - make sure they have all the suppliers contact details and they can check in with them and be a point of call for anything they need

Bridesmaid 2 - make sure everyone has a drink and food to nibble on

Bridesmaid 3 - make sure timings are being kept to

9 - Dry your flowers with plenty of time

The last thing you or your bridesmaids want is water marks on your outfits so we would recommend taking your flowers out of their water and drying them at least 15 minutes before you hit the aisle - your florist will probably remind you to do this too.

10 - Allow more time than you think

It's really easy for a pair of earrings or underwear adjustments to take longer than you anticipated and you don't want to be running out of the door at the last minute. Aim to be ready at least 30 minutes before you need to leave so you can take a moment to enjoy a glass of something nice, take a deep breath and embrace all that's to come.
